Find a family
We are a calm, relaxed household consisting of myself, Mikey & Dexter plus our dog Arlo and cat Minnie. We have a big house next to the park in a vibrant area of north Leeds. I work in television broadcasting and will be out of the house 7am-7pm or 12pm-12am (not everyday!). We love snowboarding, travelling, going to festivals, music, day trips to the river, walks in the countryside, spending time with friends. We live quite close to the city centre (30 mins walk), or you can easily take the bus. Mikey has just started high school and Dexter is in year 5. They’re both very polite & well-mannered and independent. Everyone says they’re a pleasure to be around and they’re very easy to look after. I just need help whilst I’m at work early mornings & late evenings, getting them to & from school and organised for the day (PE kits/packed lunches etc), plus some help with laundry/preparing meals and light housework. We’re very flexible & easygoing, I’m sure you’d be happy here 😊
We are a family of 3, two daughters and a mother. I’m 32 years old originally Ugandan. I’m a kind and an understanding person and have a good heart. My childcare 2 and 4years old
fridah is looking for an au pair in Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Dear Au Pair We are a family of 5 consisting of us : Laurens and Esther, Nina 13 years old and our twin daughters Luísa and Jane 2 years old. We have a little funny dog called Daisy who is part of the family too. We live just outside of Barcelona, in nature and with beautiful views. Public transport will bring you to the little town and to the beach directly. To go to Barcelona city, the train has a direct line every 30 minutes arriving in the heart of Barcelona. We have morning and afternoon rush hours during the week from 7.30 to 9.30 and from 4pm to 7pm, including driving all children to their schools. We are looking for an au pair with driving license and feeling comfortable driving the car with the kids. We are often home in the evenings and in the weekends too. We would need a few hours of help in the weekends too to spend time with the twin girls. We ask for help mainly focused on the twin girls, however we wish for support in the household too; light work and helping with cooking, laundry, doing groceries etc… We are looking for someone who is dedicated to being part of the family, who prioritizes the well being of the children and is happy to live in a quiet area. There will be enough me-time to explore Barcelona and it’s surroundings. WE DON’T live in BARCELONA CITY. We offer a spacious room for you with a private access , a terrace and private bathroom. The most important for us is that we live a balanced, harmonious, peaceful, healthy and happy life all together. We ask for a very caring and truly committed au pair who really enjoys to be with the twin girls. To have fun with them and to communicate with them in a loving and honest way. Experience with caring for toddlers and / or twins would be a plus, but it won’t be a dealbreaker. Please, remind that we don’t live in the center of Barcelona, that we live our lives as simple, healthy and peaceful as possible and that we need caring and loving help mainly for the toddlers. If you want to spend time with them, if you feel like helping a family out, if you prefer to be in nature (forest: beach : sea) in stead of spending most of your time in the big city, please feel free to reach out so we can get to know each other a bit better. Muchas gracias for being honest ⭐️ Esther and family

In this video, we will ll share with you what you can expect from the au pair experience and the incredible benefits of embarking on this unique journey as an au pair.
Some au pair agencies can be a bit more hands-off. Okay, we don’t like to brag or anything, but we often hear that we are super involved and know what’s up with the legislation laws. Moving abroad is a big step! It’s an exciting adventure and we guide you in every step no matter where in the world you are for the best cultural exchange and work abroad experience!
Your main responsibility will be toward the children. Spending time with children is one of the most rewarding parts of the au pair job abroad as you build lasting connections with your host kids. Alongside the children, you also will be responsible for light household tasks that fall within your schedule per week.
If you are talking to multiple host families, it is important to align on what your expectations are for the year. Some host families want an au pair available during the day for their children and others want more morning help before school and evening help after school.
Personality and how you would like to spend your free time should also be considered when choosing the host family that is a good fit for you. By doing this, you will help yourself be the perfect au pair for your host family too!
It can always happen that the vibes are off in your new house or you disagree with a family member. This is why you discuss a notice agreement. This is usually 1 or 2 months. Actually, this almost never happens because you get to know your host family and children beforehand so you know about their family life. If you don’t like your host family, we’ll go look for another host family!
In addition to room and board which is a private room in the house and food for meals, au pairs are paid monthly pocket money by their host family that they can spend in their free time. The amount depends on which country you want to au pair in but should be enough money to enjoy the local culture. Check out the pocket money in your host country.
In most countries, you are also entitled to payment from your host family in the form of a language course to improve your language skills. You can learn English or learn a new language depending on your goals and how you want to integrate with your new culture. In other countries, this money can be allocated to other learning opportunities if you would like to opt out of language courses.
Yes! Au pairs are entitled to a certain amount of paid holiday depending on the country they are in. You should check with your host family to find the best week to go. Traveling is a wonderful opportunity to see some of the best scenery your host country or neighboring countries have to offer and a great way to meet other like-minded young people. You can check the rules regarding holiday leave per country right here.
I became an au pair abroad because I love cultural exchanges and I wanted to experience it while becoming a member of a local family. I enjoy languages 🗣️, traveling ✈️ and engaging with other cultures. Being an au pair gives me that possibility daily. I learn a lot from the three children I look after and I’ve built a connection with them that I will carry in my heart forever. ❤️
I’ve made some amazing friends here and have unforgettable memories with them. I’ve also had many opportunities to travel✈️ Being an au pair abroad has been such an amazing experience, and it’s changed my life living with the most amazing host parents and kids. 👨👩👧 Leaving my home country to come here was difficult, having to say goodbye to everything I knew and loved. But when it comes time to leave here, it will be even more difficult. But I’ll be walking away with amazing memories that will last a lifetime, and that’s something I’ll be forever grateful for! ❤️
Great and great service! I would say I had a great and wonderful experience because the team is made up of great people. From the very beginning until now that I am here in the Netherlands, they have been in constant communication with me. Michelle was just so helpful in everything. Everything just goes smoothly with the process and assures you of what will happen next. Thank you, Nina.care!
I had a hard time at the beginning of my arrival, but luckily Nina.care’s au pair agency was always there to help. Gave me advice and tips. After three months in the Netherlands, I was finally able to adapt and learn new things. Get out of my comfort zone and try to do my best as an au pair. I remember it very well, when I arrived in the Netherlands I received a package from Nina.care, containing several welcome gifts for me because I had arrived in the Netherlands. I was touched and happy.
